Red State:
“It’s fair to them to give them an answer here, in short order, so that they can jump on board with someone else.” – Sarah Palin August 13, 2011 With those words, former Gov. Sarah Palin made it clear to me that she will not run for president in 2012. You don’t tell your supporters “they can jump on board with someone else” if you are going to run. It’s as simple as that. One could, and no doubt many will, say Palin was just inarticulate. I don’t buy that.So what do you think? IS Red State correct in this assumption, or are they simply judging Palin by what normal rational people would do in her circumstance?
Well I can tell you one thing, the folks over at the
Sea O'Pee are not buying into Red State's assumption one little bit.
How Redstate came to the conclusion that this means she’s not running beats me. What Governor Palin said is that she’s seriously thinking about it and will make a decision shortly because ”IF”, and I emphasize ”IF”, she decides not to run it wouldn’t be fair for her to hold on to her supporters. What I take away from this response is that as far as the Governor is concerned she would wait longer to make an announcement, but she understands that a decision must come sooner so it doesn’t appear like she’s stringing people along. Redstate obviously wishes that Governor Palin won’t run, but just because you hope something won;t happen doesn’t mean it won’t. In any event the day Governor Palin announces, Redstate loses it’s credibility, whatever was left of it.I wonder if the SPCA can charge Palin with cruelty to dumb animals?
