Right Wing blog reads the tea leaves and decides that Palin is NOT running for President.

Courtesy of Red State:

“It’s fair to them to give them an answer here, in short order, so that they can jump on board with someone else.” – Sarah Palin August 13, 2011

With those words, former Gov. Sarah Palin made it clear to me that she will not run for president in 2012.

You don’t tell your supporters “they can jump on board with someone else” if you are going to run. It’s as simple as that. One could, and no doubt many will, say Palin was just inarticulate. I don’t buy that.

So what do you think?  IS Red State correct in this assumption, or are they simply judging Palin by what normal rational people would do in her circumstance?

Well I can tell you one thing, the folks over at the Sea O'Pee are not buying into Red State's assumption one little bit.

How Redstate came to the conclusion that this means she’s not running beats me. What Governor Palin said is that she’s seriously thinking about it and will make a decision shortly because ”IF”, and I emphasize ”IF”, she decides not to run it wouldn’t be fair for her to hold on to her supporters.

What I take away from this response is that as far as the Governor is concerned she would wait longer to make an announcement, but she understands that a decision must come sooner so it doesn’t appear like she’s stringing people along.

Redstate obviously wishes that Governor Palin won’t run, but just because you hope something won;t happen doesn’t mean it won’t.

In any event the day Governor Palin announces, Redstate loses it’s credibility, whatever was left of it.

I wonder if the SPCA can charge Palin with cruelty to dumb animals?

You knew it was coming. The Twitter Quitter thinks she smells blood in the water and goes on the attack.

From the Twit's Tweets:

Pres Obama: you're losing our future. No more pretending "with ever more manic protestations" that this could continue http://tgr.ph/qsHQqE
9 hours ago via Twitter for BlackBerry®

This is all part of the coordinated effort by the Right to undermine President Obama in the eyes of the American voters, since they believe they have wounded him politically with the protracted debt ceiling debate. So of course Palin feels she HAS to be one of the first ones to start throwing stones.

The article that Palin links to is this one in the Telegraph, which contains this rather misleading passage:

But the US has a very different historical experience from European countries, with their accretions of national remorse and class guilt: it has a far stronger and more resilient belief in the moral value of liberty and the dangers of state power. This is a political as much as an economic crisis, but not for the reasons that Mr Obama believes. The ruckus that nearly paralysed the US economy last week, and led to the loss of its AAA rating from Standard & Poor’s, arose from a confrontation over the most basic principles of American life.

Contrary to what the Obama Democrats claimed, the face-off in Congress did not mean that the nation’s politics were “dysfunctional”. The politics of the US were functioning precisely as the Founding Fathers intended: the legislature was acting as a check on the power of the executive.

While I may agree with this Janet Daley woman that the Founding Fathers wanted the legislature to act as check on the power of the executive, I CANNOT imagine that those early patriots would have embraced the idea of holding this country hostage, frightening the American people, and damaging our debt rating, all to make a political point.

And ultimately the Teabaggers' "never raise taxes" stance has only prolonged the problem by refusing to acknowledge that the country's credit card bill, which George W. Bush charged up like a Beverly Hills housewife who just discovered her husband is cheating on her, has to be paid off eventually, and you cannot pay it off by raising the retirement age or privatizing Social Security.

Eventually you need revenue to pay off this country's debt, and that means raising taxes.

But of course nothing that this Daley woman wrote really matters.

As most of us realize it was undoubtedly an article that somebody sent to Palin with a suggestion that she attach it to a tweet so that she could sound like she knows something about the economy. That way she could continue to convince the slowest learners on the planet that she is really going to launch a serious political campaign, and that they need to keep sending her money.

Organize4Palin is continuing to lay the foundation in Iowa so that the Governor can hit the ground running when she announces. Everyone who is working in Iowa for Organize4Palin is working on a volunteer basis and any dollar you can provide them is greatly appreciated.

Unsurprisingly these sad people are still convinced that Palin will announce either right before, or during her September 3rd speech to the Teabaggers in Iowa. As evidenced by comments like this one:

i've said this before and i'll say it again:

-SET MONEY ASIDE NOW. already have it ready to go, and don't touch it until she announces.
-EVEN SMALL AMOUNTS COUNT. don't say "my amount is so small, so i won't donate." there are many people who can only afford a small amount of money. if all those people were to donate those small amounts anyway... a large sum can be gathered together! even if it's just $10, imagine if 15 or 20 people donated that, that's an easy $200 for palin. so donate!!!
-SPREAD THE WORD. when she announces, kindly remind your friends on twitter, fb, blog, email, etc, to donate a little bit of money. don't be like bachmann and ask 100 times. XD but it would be good to spread the word to others.

Just when you thought September could NOT get any more entertaining!

Having run out of theaters willing to show Palin's pathetic propaganda film, now her supporters have taken to showing it in their homes! Can we change the name of the film now?

Yet another hat tip to Azure Ghost, who I imagine NEVER thought her poster would come in this handy!
From the Sea O'Pee (Where else?):

Toni Hagen of Mason City will be hostess for three showings Saturday of a new political film, “The Undefeated,” which promotes former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

The film had its premiere in Pella last month with Palin in attendance.

Hagen, a volunteer with a grassroots effort called Organize4Palin, has an advance copy of the film for private screenings and will be showing it at her home in Mason City at 10 a.m., 2 p.m., and 6 p.m. Saturday.

I can hear Ms. Hagen's pitch now: "This film is the greatest celluloid epic in this, or any other, century.  And if you don't believe me, come over to my house where I will be showing it on a white bed sheet tacked to the wall of my family room."

You know I wonder if the Palin-bots even take the time to stop and think before they put up a post like this?

I mean come on, you people are not even making this challenging for me anymore!

Update: Well now we know why they have to show the film at their teabagging neighborhood block parties.  "The Undefeated" is down 60.5% at the box office this week.

I guess all of that begging and threatening was just NOT enough to get anybody to waste two hours of their precious life watching this steaming pile of moose shit.

Update 2: You know I think Palin might seriously be having a nervous breakdown. Check out this newest tweet:

@BarackObama you're wrong, threatening to throw seniors under the bus because you refuse to prioritize govt spending.Time to #womanup & lead
52 minutes ago via web

Does this lunatic REALLY believe that Obama pays even the slightest bit of attention to her?

You know I wonder if this is the first time that a person's psychotic episode was captured on Twitter?

Iowa Straw Poll ballot will NOT include Sarah Palin. Palin-bot rationalizations to start in 3..2..1

"Flippin' Iowa! How am I supposed to keep shearing the sheep with you pulling crap like this?"
Courtesy of the 2012 Iowa Caucuses:

The official ballot for the Iowa straw poll will list nine names, including three declared candidates who have decided to not compete in the Aug. 13 event: Mitt Romney, Jon Huntsman and Newt Gingrich.

But the door is wide open for Iowans to vote for anyone they like: For the first time, write-ins will be counted.

After a long debate, the Republican Party of Iowa’s state central committee decided today not to include two well-known candidates who are merely flirting with a bid: Rick Perry and Sarah Palin.

Oh, you just KNOW this is really going to piss all over the Sea O'Pee's little Palin presidential parade don't you?

And it is really such a shame considering just how hard Snowdrift Snooki was flirting.

Kind of nice to see that they don't exactly take Rick Perry very seriously either, don't you agree?

Dipping my toe in the Sea O'Pee. Where the crazy train is always just entering the station.

I am always receiving links from visitors to alert me to crazy Sarah Palin stories, or bizarre goings on from her supporters.

"Hey Gryph, you have to see this!"

"Gryphen wait until you see what they are doing now!"

But I am rarely impressed.  After all by now I have pretty much seen it all.

I mean for God's sake, the woman chased me out into a parking lot to write down my license plate number!

When it comes to Sarah Palin I have seen me some crazy.

Or so I thought.

This was the link that I was sent about two days ago. (Before you click that link make sure you hang onto to something solid, because the complete lack of reality can be somewhat unsettling.)

Here is a sample of what I am talking about just so you don't think that I'm exaggerating:

Speaking of light, The Undefeated premieres tomorrow. Governor Palin’s supporters have been looking forward to this day. So have others who, though not supporters, have a genuine appreciation for the truth. Some people, however, don’t share that same enthusiasm or respect for facts. On the contrary, they despise it.

They’re panicking.

In typical roach fashion, as the light of Governor Palin’s record is about to shine brightly for all to see, they’re scurrying like roaches. Running in every direction, they’re doing everything in their power to avoid exposure. Light brings revelation, and they cannot handle revelation. It destroys what they’ve worked so hard to achieve. They’ve created, encouraged, and feasted on lies, and they’ve relied on never being found out. Everything seemed to be working in their favor, too. They had the left, some on the right, and the mainstream media in their corner, aiding and abetting their sinister deeds. They are the left, some on the right, and the mainstream media, in most cases. They did not have the foresight to imagine that the truth would emerge in the form of a Stephen Bannon documentary which would destroy their false narratives and outright lies. They expected these to forever go undetected as they chewed away at the Governor’s record and future. They thought they’d have the freedom, like roaches in the night, to roam and eat undisturbed, that she would at least go away and not come back. It’s taken them a while to figure it out, but as they have become increasingly aware that they were wrong, that the light has come and opened eyes and enlightened minds, they’re panicking.

Why do I say this?

We have been anticipating the release of The Undefeated for some time now. We’ve been waiting, getting the word out, expecting this film to be a definite game-changer. In the meantime, reviews have been written, interviews have been conducted, and previous skeptics have admitted that their opinion of Governor Palin changed upon learning the facts presented in the screening.

I can read your mind right about now, tell me if I am wrong.

Right now you are shaking your head and thinking "WTF?" Am I right? I knew it!

Right after that you might have asked yourself "Just WHAT kind of medication is this person was on?" And perhaps even wondered if you could get you some, because baby it MUST be the shit!

Well whatever these people are on it has taken them to an entirely different reality than the one that we are all currently experiencing.

Here is how the film critics are ACTUALLY responding to this film, courtesy of Politico:

The reviews are in on the Sarah Palin documentary, and they are not kind.

The pro-Palin film “The Undefeated” opened in 10 midsized American cities Friday to a chorus of boos from professional film critics.

Reviewers — not generally a conservative lot — faulted its one-sided portrayal of Palin’s rise to power in Alaska and national prominence.

New York magazine’s David Edelstein said he really tried to like the film. “I swear I gave ‘The Undefeated’ a chance, because who wants to writhe in agony for two hours?” he wrote. “I hoped that Director Stephen K. Bannon would show a side of Sarah Palin I’d never seen — I thought it would be so cool if I could give the movie a rave. But it’s a straight hagiography, without nuance or ambiguity, or the admission of opposing viewpoints — even those meant to be dismantled.”

Other reviewers also were quick to call the film propaganda.

Time magazine’s Richard Corliss wrote that the director “applies so much idolatrous air brushing to his portrait of the Divine Sarah that the movie might be called ‘Going Rouge.’”

Later in the review, Corliss added, “The movie may tempt even the most ardent conservatives to emulate their idol’s tenure as governor and walk out halfway through.”

The response of the critics was not the only indication that the film was doomed. The lack of asses in seats is the REAL barometer for determining a movie's success.  And guess what?

Undefeated grossed $60,000 to $75,000, meaning a per-screen average of $6,000 or $7,500, the measure by which limited openings are judged. A screen average below $10,000 is considered mediocre.

You know that is the problem with cockroaches.  Just when you expect them to scurry away, instead they stand their ground, look you in the eye, and tell you that your idol is a fake and that the ridiculous film you thought would make everybody love her is a steaming pile of moosecrap.

It looks like Palin's movie preview and plans to visit Pella, Iowa, are officially FUBAR.

Courtesy of Real Clear Politics:

Politico reported on Monday that Palin aides were reaching out to Iowa operatives and activists to set up meetings during her visit, citing Chuck Laudner, a former Iowa GOP executive director. But Laudner told RCP that he did not have a private meeting scheduled with Palin and that no one who works for the former governor had made contact with him.

Laudner said that he received an invitation to attend the festivities surrounding the movie premiere from Peter Singleton, a California native who moved to Iowa several months ago to help organize in the state in advance of a possible Palin presidential run. Singleton is acting on his own and is not a Palin aide but has often been confused for one as he has made his presence known across the state.

"Putting me on this list doesn't really mean much to me," Laudner told RCP. "I'm on a list to go to this event, but I didn't expect there was going to be high drama. . . . He just said be there, and I said OK."

For his part, Singleton confirmed to RCP that he has not been working with the Palin camp.

"If Governor Palin was setting up meetings, she wouldn't set them up with me," Singleton said. "Not a single activist I've talked with has said anything about that. . . . I'm not affiliated with the Palin organization. I invited Chuck because he's a really great friend and a really nice guy."

Several other key players in Iowa Republican politics -- including state GOP Chairman Matt Strawn, Iowa Faith and Freedom Coalition President Steve Scheffler and the office of Gov. Terry Branstad -- told RCP that Palin's camp had not reached out to them ahead of Tuesday's visit.

This complete lack of coordination and communication also extended to Palin's most ardent supporters. As evidenced by this recent post over at the Sea O'Pee by the guy who originally tried to convince Palin supporters to gate crash the premiere.

You won’t be allowed to attend either event if you do not have a ticket.

Yes, I recognize that I posted around ten posts on this subject encouraging people to go to Pella without a ticket but it appears that I missed the purpose of the event. The entire purpose of the event was to keep things local and low-key and limit it primarily to Iowans and Pellans. I was operating off my own conjecture.

So if you made plans to go to Pella without a ticket, make your own decision based on this information. I apologize for any confusion.

This did NOT go over well with the increasingly disgruntled Palin-bots.

From the comments section:

Actually, this isn't Ian's "fault". This is the fault of a "campaign" which doesn't communicate with people downstream and is in desperate need of some new hires to start getting its sh*t in gear.

I understand Fabianism and Disinformation and Not Communicating with the Propaganda Ministry, but the Silence Policy towards you're own people is just stupid, especially the O4P people. This has to end. Now.

And this:

Whatever you say, if Sarah does not announces in July....it is Bachmann time. And if Sarah stays out she will be DESTROYED and her favorability numbers will go down. People would be seeing her as just a money hungry fraud that teased her supporters and the nation for 3 years about a presidential run just to get rich.

Sorry fellas but is the truth.

July is Sarah's month to start taking charge. If by July 30 she has not yet announced she will not be our next president and Obama might win his second term against who ever loser gets the nomination.
I can sense very nevous folks here..time is passing by and Sarah is just promoting movies. Bachmann has a real chance to win Iowa or make Romney win it. In either case, if Sarah is not the nominee Obama will win by a landslide unless the economy really tanks, we enter a recession or any october surprise occurs.

Then there is Trump and his third party run..
..
Obama is a very happy camper.

Followed by this:

Look, Palin's appearance -- in Iowa, no less -- at the premiere of this landmark documentary movie, no less -- on the day after MB's POTUS announcement, no less -- at the same time as Obama's in Iowa, no less -- is BIGGGGGGG!

C4P didn't release this to the news media.

What gives? -- we need some more explanation

Even though I predicted this day would come well over a year ago, I have to admit that I never knew it that it would take THIS long for the journalists and Palin-bots to finally look up and see the writing on the wall that had been right in front of them all along.

Sarah Palin does NOT want to be the President. She wants you to WANT her to be the President.

It is called "political prick teasing" and she is apparenlty quite good at it.

P.S. for those who are new to the phrase FUBAR, click here.

Sunday, June 26, 2011

Palin-bots hope to convince Palin to run for President by showing up to watch her crappy movie.

Essentially the Palin supporters have become so desperate to find some way to get Sister Sarah into the 2012 race that they have pinned all of their hopes on this one movie, "The Undefeated."

First they hope to convince the voters that by showing up en masse to the film's debut they will show that since THEY are pathetically unintelligent enough to believe this woman could actually handle the job of President, that surely there are OTHER voters pathetically unintelligent enough to believe the same.

From the Sea O'Pee:

If voters in Iowa hear about how a large group of Palin supporters, who did not have tickets to see the Undefeated and did not have any guarantee they would be able to meet the Governor at the post-movie barbeque, still came all the way to a small town like Pella just to show support for her potential candidacy, that should have an impact on voters that I described in the preceding paragraph and the narrative.

"Don't you see? if enough people simply stand outside the theatre waving misspelled signs and chanting incoherently, surely that will convince America that SHE is their only hope to help take this country back to its foundations, back to when black people knew their place was trimming the hedges, NOT trimming defense spending."

The Palinese Liberation Army also hopes that if they show up in large enough  numbers they can convince an even more reluctant hold out that Sarah Palin should run for President.  Sarah Palin herself.

As I speculated about earlier, this event may not only have an impact on the narrative and on voters but it may have a big impact on the Governor’s decision on whether to run for the presidency. If what she is gauging is the amount of spontaneous support that exists for her candidacy, the Undefeated’s debut in Pella, Iowa on Tuesday presents her supporters with a great opportunity to show her that such spontaneous support exists. It’s not often that regular people can impact events that could change the country. Whether Palin runs or not is one such event that could change the country and regular people certainly can impact what decision she arrives at if all goes well Tuesday in Pella, Iowa.

"Come on gang!  I mean surely she quit her bus tour and skipped out on jury duty for something!  She MUST secretly want to run for President, even though all indications are that she does not, she MUST! Or what else do we have to live for? Seriously, what do we have to live for?"

Her supporters are already gettin' excited!

Sadly the drive would be prohibitively long.
A plane ticket round trip STARTS at $1000.
So I'm afraid I'll have to be there in spirit only

I would like to go to Pella but I don't have a car right now. I'm also a military veteran who is still severely underemployed. I have to be careful how I invest my time and very limited money.

Y'all might want to bring your own fixins. I got a hunch they won't be able to feed everyone.
I'll be there in spirit.

However there are a few hardy souls willing to embarrass themselves in public for Granny Grifter.

I already considered that and after C4P asked people to show up, even if they couldn't get a ticket, I canceled my late morning hair appointment Tuesday (it will take a month to get another one) so that I could leave with plenty of time to spare. I have over a three hour drive and I anticipate horrific traffic. I may have to park a long way from the Opera House so I'll be wearing comfortable shoes and sporting dark roots, but I am determined to make it on time.

Whew!  Sounds like quite a robust show of support to me!

By the way the Pee-pods are making a big deal about the Opera House ALREADY being sold out.  Which I guess MIGHT be kind of impressive, if it held more than 324 people.

Man I would give ANYTHING to show up outside of that Opera House on Tuesday to interview these people. That would have to be some of the most entertaining footage ever!  Just watching these poor souls stumbling to come up with a sensible reason for their continued support of this woman would be worth the plane ride alone.

My fingers are crossed that there is a reporter near this place who has that very same idea.

The Sea O'Pee is so desperate to defend their queen that they are willing to take a sucker's bet. Well, almost.

John Ziegler recently wrote:

Of course I am very cynical about any “conservative” media member giving an opinion on Palin’s electability because of the inherent conflict of commercial interest in not wanting to offend Palin’s passionate supporters. Interestingly, Nolte’s boss Breitbart and his buddy Ann Coulter have come up with a brilliant (gutless? insincere?) way of navigating this minefield by ridiculously claiming that Palin is too good for the office of the presidency. Without getting into the details at this time, based on personal knowledge I can assure you that this is not what Breitbart really believes about her.

But regardless, to Nolte and all other commentators who claim I am wrong about Palin’s chances in 2012, I simply ask you to put your money where your mouth is. I am officially offering a $1,000 bet, at incredible 100-1 odds, that Palin will not be inaugurated president of the United States in January of 2013. This unbelievable $100,000 offer (along with details as to how I would pay in full with the money I had reserved for the charity offer that Keith Olbermann dodged) is available to the first prominent conservative who takes me up on it.

Well what choice do Sarah Palin's flying monkeys really have but to take Ziegler up on his offer in order to defend their queen?  However their lack of confidence in her is written ALL OVER the answer to Ziegler's challenge:

Under the condition that the bet is only operative if Governor Palin runs, we accept the bet and we look forward to cashing Ziegler’s $100,000 check.

Now, it’s up to the Governor to make sure we win this bet.

Number one they are so insecure about her plans for 2012, that they have to put the caveat "Under the condition that the bet is only operative IF Governor Palin runs," before putting up any MORE of their hard earned money to defend the failed half term Governor that they profess to love. And then they virtually fall down on bended knee to beg her not to make them look like assholes for taking Ziegler up on his bet.

I think that this, more than just about anything else, really illustrates how tortured and desperate the people who still support the Grizzled Mama have become.

There is really only ONE image that does justice to their misplaced faith in Sarah Palin's doomed political future.

That poor dog might stay right there until he starves to death, hoping that his master will come back to him.  I wonder if the Palin-bots are that loyal, or should I say, that delusional?
