It has been too long since Jack Cafferty has graced IM with his presence.

Cafferty asks "Are Sarah Palin and Donald Trump the answer to the country's problems?"

I think most of us could easily answer that question, but let's hear what Jack has to say about that.

My favorite portion was  as he referenced the poor performance of "The Undefeated."

"The popcorn stand at the theater took in more money."

Sarah Palin to visit Donald Trump for pointers on how to run a fake campaign,

Courtesy of First Read:

Just in case you thought that Sarah Palin's press-goosechase bus tour of the I-95 corridor couldn't get any more surreal...

Michael Cohen, special counsel to Donald Trump, confirms to NBC News that the real estate mogul and his wife will meet and dine with Palin and her husband Tuesday night in New York City.

Cohen tells NBC News that Palin and Trump had previously discussed meeting up the next time Palin visited the city.

I wonder if Palin is asking for ideas on which excuse to use when she quits this fake non-campaign of hers?

Remember when Trump quit he made it sound like it was a victory for him, essentially saying "I made the President show his long form birth certificate, I am going to quit while I'm ahead!."

The challenge for Sarah Palin is quitting before anybody can shame her into a debate, but not before she has soaked up as much attention and Palin-bot loose change as possible.

Loss of Donald Trump leaves Columbia Teabaggers feeling abandoned and disillusioned.

From The State:

The Columbia Tea Party went from Donald Trump to jilted chump after the celebrity businessman canceled his appearance at Thursday’s State House rally, and state legislators approved tax breaks and spending that the group opposed.

Trump’s decision to not enter the GOP presidential race left local Tea Party leaders stewing about the way they had been treated. But about 30 people were on hand Thursday to thank Gov. Nikki Haley, lawmakers and activists for their work to require more on-the-record Legislative votes.

Columbia Tea Party chairman Allen Olson expected as many as 2,000 would have attended Thursday’s rally had Trump been there. But The Donald, a favorite of many who attended the group’s Tax Day rally with U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., elected to not run and dropped the rally from his schedule.

“It was a kick in the gut, but it gives you a chance to regroup,” said Olson. “He’s a businessman. He showed his worth.”

I'm sorry but if a political movement allows The Donald to make them his bitch, they deserve to vanish in a puff of foul smelling smoke.

Which according to this picture of the turnout it looks like they already have.

On Monday Donald Trump announced he won't be running.  Haley Barbour and John Thune have indicated they will not be running.  Ron Paul and Herman Cain have already announced they are running, but are longshots.  Tim Pawlenty and Mitt Romney have yet to make announcement, so Sarah begins laying the groundwork in South Carolina.

The only Rethuglican running that has a reasonable chance is Newt Gingrich, but now his campaign is imploding right before his very eyes:

Yep Sarah is running.

Reason #59 not to vote for Sarah Palin for anything

She loves Donald Trump

The Business Insider

Sarah Palin thinks Donald Trump should continue his investigation into President Barack Obama's place of birth.
"More power to him," the former Vice Presidential candidate told Jeanine Pirro on Fox News. "He's not just throwing stones from the sidelines. He's digging in there. He's paying for researchers to find out why

President Obama would have spent $2 million dollars not to show his birth certificate."
(Yes, she did say exactly those words.)

Palin also admitted she believes Obama was born in Hawaii but simultaneously left the door open just a bit.

"Well, you know, I think that he was born in Hawaii because there was a birth announcement put in the newspaper, but obviously if there's something there that the president doesn't want people to see on that birth certificate," she said. "He's going to great lengths to make sure it isn't shown. And that's kind of perplexing for a lot of people."

The Donald also gave a profanity laced speech in Las Vegas.  Very professional and presidential of him.  NOT!  And Sarah respects this guy?
